A semi-trailer rig tipped over on U.S. 40 late Tuesday morning in eastern Utah, spilling its load of lumber onto the roadway.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the male driver of the big rig sustained minor injures threatened at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred about 10:30 a.m. just west of Vernal.
The highway was restricted to one lane of alternating travel while the semi and its two trailers were removed and the wood planks retrieved from the accident scene, near mile post 139.
Royce said the cause of the crash was under investigation, but it did not initially appear that alcohol nor snow left over from an early morning storm system were factors.
