UPD officer hurt in S. Salt Lake crash
Emergency crews rushed to the scene of traffic accident where a Unified Police Department officer was injured South Salt Lake Friday afternoon.
Public safety dispatchers said the call came in at 12:28 p.m. from 100 East and 3900 South State Street.
UPD confirmed that a female officer was transported to Intermountain Medical Center, where she was reported to be in fair condition. Her injuries were not specified.
The driver of a black Dodge pickup truck the UPD cruiser collided with was not reported to be injured.
South Salt Lake police were handling the investigation, but details on how the crash occurred were not immediately available.
