Layton police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a masseuse at knife-point.

The 18-year-old man went to a parlor on the north part of Main Street and asked for a massage, said Layton police Lt. Shawn Horton. But once he was with the masseuse, police suspect he pulled a knife and sexually assaulted her, Horton said.

The suspect stopped when another employee knocked on the door, Horton said. The man was detained and someone called the police, who took the man to the station, the lieutenant said.

The man admitted to the police that he had sexually assaulted the woman after brandishing a knife, so he was booked into Davis County Jail under suspicion of aggravated sexual assault, Horton said.

The woman was never cut by the knife, the lieutenant added.
