New time-lapse video shows national, state parks spinning through space
First Published Oct 21 2013 12:54 pm • Last Updated Oct 22 2013 06:36 pm

There’s nothing like a good time-lapse video to remind you that you’re riding a speck of dust as it hurtles through space.

In this case, the video above was produced by Shane Black and two friends. Black posted the video to Vimeo last week.

According to the description, Black and his friends left their jobs and spent the summer traveling the country. What they ended up with is a stunning study of America’s wildlands — including several right here in Utah.

And in light of the recent government shutdown, there’s probably no better time to remember the timelessness of our national and state parks.
