Ogden police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a Saturday night stabbing there.

Police said they were called to a parking lot at 247 24th St. about 9:50 p.m. on a report that a 43-year-old man had been stabbed.

When officers arrived, they found the man lying outside the building with a single knife wound to his torso.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in serious condition Sunday, police said.

Police arrested the 18-year-old after they stopped a vehicle leaving the scene. He was taken to the Weber County Jail, but police did not say on what he was booked.

The case remains under investigation by the Ogden Metro Gang Unit.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 801-629-8276.
