A North Ogden woman died Tuesday when a pickup truck she was riding in rolled on Interstate 80 in Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) identified the victim as Kathleen Kariya, 64. Glen Kariya, 59, also of North Ogden, was seriously injured.

ISP said the accident occurred about 12:10 a.m. in Jasper County when the westbound 2012 GMC pickup truck, driven by Linda Arita, 61, of Roland Heights, Calif., swerved off the roadway and crashed.

Arita also was seriously injured, ISP said.

Arita and Glen Kariya were both wearing seatbelts, ISP reported, but Kathleen Kariya was not.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
