The flow of illegal drugs through the homeless population around downtown Salt Lake City's Pioneer Park appears to be on the rise, prompting a renewed call from city officials and advocates to get help for those suffering addictions.

What needs to be done and will the effort work?

The Tribune's Jennifer Napier-Pearce on Monday at 12:15 p.m. will host a live Trib Talk video chat about the challenge with Jennifer Hyvonen, external affairs director at the Fourth Street Clinic; Matt Minkevitch, executive director of The Road Home shelter; Deputy Salt Lake City Police Chief Lee Dobrowolski; and reporter Christopher Smart.

You can join the discussion by sending questions or comments to the hashtag #TribTalk on Twitter and Google+ or you can post them in the comments section below this story. The live video will appear at the top of this page a few minutes before the chat begins.
