The Utah Bureau of Land Management is looking for nominees to fill two anticipated vacancies on its Resource Advisory Council. The 15-member RAC meets a few times a year to advise the BLM on how to best conserve and use Utah's 23 million acres of public lands.
"The people who use and enjoy BLM-managed lands deserve a formal voice on public land issues. Their input enhances our agency's ability to administer and conserve these lands for current and future generations of Americans," BLM state director Juan Palma said.
The two vacancies are to be filled by representatives from users of public lands, such as livestock grazers, the mining and energy industries, timber, outdoor recreation and transportation.
