A 23-year-old Southern Utah University student was improving on Wednesday, the day after his motorcycle collided with a car in Cedar City.
Cedar City police Sgt. Jimmy Roden said that according to witnesses, the car apparently failed to yield the right of way when it turned left in front of the westbound motorcyclist at the intersection of 800 West and 200 South about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.
However, no citations had been issued to the female driver as the investigation was still ongoing on Wednesday, Roden said.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said. He was in critical condition early Wednesday, but by Wednesday night he had spoken with officers on the telephone, dispatchers said.
