First Published Sep 20 2013 07:47 pm • Last Updated Sep 20 2013 07:47 pm

A man and woman suspected of holding up a convenience store earlier this month are still on the lam and police hope the public can help catch them.

The duo walked into a store at 824 S. 400 West in Salt Lake City on Sept. 5 and flashed a firearm at the clerk, according to police. They then ordered the clerk to open the register, which didn’t work.

The man responded by pushing the register off the counter, police say. He and the woman then left the store and were last seen heading east on 800 South.

Police say the man was white, 30 years old and weighed as much as 180 pounds. He stands 5-feet-9-inches tall and has short dark hair, with numerous tattoos on his forearms.

The woman stands 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, according to police.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police at 801-799-3000 or to text CRIMES 274637 with the word TIPSLCPD and additional information. Video and more information is available at www.slcpd.com/newsroom.
