A Sunset home is estimated to be a total loss after a fire early Friday morning.

Fire officials were dispatched to the home, located near 350 W. 1400 North, at around 12:30 a.m. Friday, according to Sunset fire officials.

One person was in the home when the fire started, but was able to get out of the house before fire officials arrived. He was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Fire officials spent about four hours controlling the blaze, which spread to the attic, making it difficult to fight from the ground.

Officials are still investigating how the fire started.
