An accused bank robber did not get far Monday afternoon.
The 48-year-old man allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 738 N. Redwood Road and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, said Salt Lake City Police Detective Dennis McGowan.
Police were called and thanks, in part, to a good description of the suspect, officers found and arrested him at 635 N. 1300 West, about a 15-minute walk from the bank.
He was compliant and officers arrested him on suspicion of second-degree felony robbery, McGowan said.
