A Magna man is accused of choking and beating his girlfriend to unconsciousness multiple times while threatening to kill her in front of their 3-year-old daughter.
In charges filed Friday, police wrote that the man and woman were arguing at their home, when the man pinned the woman to the bed and choked her "multiple times." The woman tried to shoot pepper spray at the man but missed. The man told their daughter to leave the room and choked the woman until she passed out, police wrote.
When the woman awoke, she heard her daughter at the bedroom door asking to come in. The man told the girl "that her mother was going to God," police wrote.
