Journey of Hope with Immigrants and the Poor Walk

The Peace and Justice Commission will stage a prayer walk/pilgrimage from 4 to 6 p.m. The 2.2-mile walk begins at the soup kitchen and proceeds with stops for prayer at the 4th Street Clinic, federal courthouse, federal building and then to the Cathedral of the Madeleine for a Mass.

Magnificat Concert

Folk Fest 2013

Folk Fest 2013 activities include a car show, golf tournament, games for all ages, rides for the kids, food and live music. Admission is free. Ignite Your Spirit

Christ United Methodist Church will hold an "Ignite the Spirit" worship and activities. Everyone should wear red. Civil-rights document screening

The civil-rights documentary "An Ordinary Hero" will be screened. The film's subject, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, will attend a reception afterward. Mulholland was a Freedom Rider and helped plan and organize the March on Washington, culminating with the Rev. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
