Restricted traffic flow through Highway US-6 in Utah County had been restored Tuesday morning through the area of an overnight mudslide.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said that the slide, reported about 8:30 p.m. Monday, occurred at mile post 200, near the Tie Fork Rest Stop and west of Tucker. All lanes were closed until about 5 a.m., when crews were able to open one eastbound lane. Eastbound and westbound traffic were alternating use of the lane.
Utah Department of Transportation crews, which worked through the night to clear mud 2 to 3 feet deep as well as some boulders, had all lanes reopened by early Tuesday afternoon.
Up until then, UDOT had advised all semi-tractor rigs to use Interstate 70 instead.
No injuries were reported in the slide.
