A Flash Flood Warning was issued early Wednesday afternoon for southwestern Carbon and northwestern Emery counties.

The National Weather Service said heavy rainfall along the denuded slopes of the 2012 Seeley Fire posed the risk of flooding and mudslides.

Nearly half an inch of rain had fallen within an hour's time when forecasters issued the advisory at 12:10 p.m. The warning was to run through 3:15 p.m.
