A motor home fire poured smoke into the air over western Salt Lake City on Monday night.

The fire broke out about 6:30 p.m. in a motor home at 1325 W. Arapahoe Ave. (640 South) and spread to a shed as well as another motor home and multiple ATVs on neighboring properties, said Salt Lake City Fire spokesman Jasen Asay. The fire threatened but did not ignite a nearby home, Asay said.

The cause remained under investigation as of 8:15 p.m., Asay said.
