A 62-year-old Orem man died Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Montana.

Shortly before 3 p.m., the man was driving south on State Route 24, near Fort Peck, when he drifted across the center line, hit a mile marker post and was thrown into a ditch, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, the MHP adds.

Investigators have not concluded why he drifted off the road and have not yet released his name.
