FALLON, Nev. • Deputies say they have found the body of a missing, 83-year-old Utah man with dementia in a desolate part of northern Nevada.

Churchill County sheriff's Capt. Michael Matheson says rock hunters stumbled upon a suspicious vehicle with cobwebs around it Friday. They later found the body of Millard County resident Dee Ray Humphries. He was reported missing July 13 and last seen alive in Utah in late June.

Deputies found the vehicle on a dirt road about 50 miles east of Fallon, which is about 50 miles east of Reno. Officials say the vehicle was still in drive, had run out of gas and had its emergency flashers activated.

Churchill County rescuers say they found Humphries' body near the vehicle on Saturday.

Matheson says there were no signs of foul play. A cause of death is pending.
