A man escaped injury Saturday night after he accidentally drove off the second-story of a parking garage in Millcreek.

Unified police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the man was parked about 9:30 p.m. near 3900 South and 700 East on the second-floor of the parking garage when he went to leave and accidentally mixed up the brake and the accelerator.

The man drove through the guardrail and crashed into the ground below.

Hoyal said the first-floor is underground so the man only fell about one story, which caused damage to the front end of his vehicle.

Alcohol wasn’t a factor, Hoyal said.
