Anyone who needs the Salt Lake City Police Department service window should now go to the new Public Safety Building.

The window at the old headquarters at 200 S. 315 East shut down for good Monday and reopens at the new one (475 S. 300 East) Tuesday morning.

People can register bicycles and get case reports, impound releases, background checks and fingerprint cards during operating hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bicycle owners must present the bike at the time of registration, which costs $2.03, according to a department news release.

There are metered parking spots on the south and east sides of the building and a TRAX stop a block away. For more information about the parking options, visit parkingslc.com.
