A pleasantly unremarkable weekend in store for Utah weather
In a remarkable year that saw heat records melting left and right, this weekend's weather will be pleasantly unremarkable.
The National Weather Service reports that Salt Lake and Tooele counties will experience highs in the mid 90s Saturday and the upper 90s Sunday and Monday. Lows will dip down into the lower 70s at night. Weber and Utah counties will be a few degrees cooler each day.
In other words, it's still hot to the point that it could continue to cause headaches for home gardeners but it's nothing too extreme.
Down south, Utahns will sweat the weekend out, with highs through Monday in St. George topping out around 100 degrees.
The Utah Division of Air Quality forecasted "green" but moderate air quality Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah, Box Elder and Cache counties. Weber County will experience "yellow" air quality Saturday, with an air action alert for sensitive people. Allergy suffers have to worried about chenopods and mold over the weekend.
Salt Lake City expected a high of 94 degrees Saturday and 97 degrees Sunday; Provo expected 92 and 94, respectively; Ogden 89 and 93; Logan 90 and 93; Wendover 89 and 92; Duchesne 89 and 89; Cedar City 88 and 89; St. George 100s; and Moab 94 and 97; Park City 82 and 83 degrees.
