Utah court officials say at least 13 people have applied to become members of a board of trustees that would be given control of a state-run trust that once belonged to Warren Jeffs' polygamous sect on the Arizona-Utah border and holds an estimated $118 million in property.

Utah state courts spokeswoman Nancy Volmer says seven applications were postmarked by the July 11 deadline and made the cut. The court previously reported getting only six applications by the deadline.

Third District Judge Denise Lindberg must decide if four others who inquired about applying for the board after the deadline will be considered.
