St. George police on Monday were investigating the shooting deaths of two people found inside a residence.

Police said they responded about 9:10 a.m. Monday to a home in the area of 2000 East and 200 South in St. George and found two people dead inside, according to Sgt. Sam Despain.

The deceased were later identified as 60-year-old Paul Lee Day and his wife, 47-year-old Mary Ann Day.

Police said a firearm was involved in the death of both individuals, but added that it appeared the incident was isolated to the home.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
