Police arrested a woman in Cottonwood Heights early Saturday after her niece shot her in the hand with a BB gun.

Sara Nuneviller was visiting her sister in Cottonwood Heights Saturday when the two women got into a fight, according to Cottonwood Heights Sgt. Scott Peck. During the fight, the sister's 14-year-old daughter tried to intervene and was " 'clawed' in the neck by 'my mom's crazy sister,' " police said.

The girl then grabbed a BB pistol and shot Nuneviller in the hand. Peck reported that Nuneviller ran to a neighbor's home, bleeding all over the sidewalk on the way.

When police arrived, they arrested Nuneviller for domestic violence. They also discovered that she arrived in a stolen vehicle out of South Salt Lake.
