You may want to avoid northbound Interstate 15 in Lehi this weekend due to planned construction work.

The Utah Department of Transportation said road construction there was to commence Friday at 8 p.m. and stretch through the weekend to 6 a.m. on Monday.

Traffic between mile posts 279 and 282, or roughly between Main Street and 2100 North, will be reduced to two lanes during the work period.

UDOT advises that if you cannot avoid the area, at least plan for an extra 15 minutes or so to traverse that section of I-15.
