The family of a missing 15-year-old Midvale girl is seeking the public's help in locating her.

Rachel Roberts was last seen leaving her home on July 14, near Midvale Elementary School. On July 16, according to a family Facebook page, her cell phone was found at the Murray North (4500 South) TRAX light rail station.

The girl, who reportedly suffers from asthma, is described a platinum blonde hair with black highlights, 5-foot-3 and about 100 pounds.

UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal acknowledged the girl had been reported missing, but added that so far indications are that the girl was a runaway.

Nonetheless, her urged anyone with information to call UPD at 801-743-7000.

The family's Facebook page also said inquiries could be made to Roberts' parents at 435-659-8249.
