Salt Lake City police are asking the public to keep its eyes open for a teenaged girl missing since early this week.

When the girl did not return home later in the day as expected, her family became concerned and reported her missing.

Acciaio is described as 5-foot-2 with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black sweat pants and pink flip-flop footwear.

SLCPD says the girl is known to frequent shopping malls, libraries and public transportation in the downtown area. On Friday, police said they had received reports of some sightings of the girl near downtown homeless shelters.

Anyone who sees her or knows her location is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
