A fast-moving fire heavily damaged a house in Ogden Friday morning, leaving eight residents without a home.

Public safety dispatchers confirmed the blaze was reported 7:35 a.m. at 118 W. Ray St. Firefighters quickly snuffed the flames, but not before it had caused extensive smoke and fire damage to the wood structure.

No one was hurt.

The cause was under investigation.

The residents of the home were being assisted with food, shelter and clothing needs by the Utah Red Cross.
