PROVO, Utah • Rescue crews pulled 11 people from a sinking boat in a storm at the American Fork Boat Harbor on Monday night.

The (Provo) Daily Herald reports that Utah County Search and Rescue responded to the call of distress at the harbor entrance about 7:30 p.m. Monday. The American Fork Fire Department was doing training nearby and assisted in towing the sinking boat to shore.

Two other sailboats also were towed to safety after the weather turned across the lake. A third boater was towed to the Lindon Marina and a fourth to Provo.
