Flooding has been reported in roadways in the central and southern Salt Lake Valley.

Standing water was posing a hazard on Interstate 215 south at 1200 West and on Interstate 80 at I-215, the Utah Department of Transportation reported about 3:55 p.m.

Flooding also was reported at 1400 E. Murray-Holladay Road (4700 South) and at 610 W. 5900 South, dispatchers confirmed.

A storm that blew in about 3:30 p.m. dropped more than one inch of rain in West Jordan, Murray and Holladay, and it was approaching eastern Holladay and Millcreek Township as of 3:50 p.m., said National Weather Service meteorologist Monica Traphagan.

Motorists are warned to drive slowly and watch for water in the road, which can cause vehicles to hydroplane.
