Stein Eriksen is expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday after being treated for a urinary tract infection, a Deer Valley Resort spokeswoman said Monday.

The 85-year-old skiing legend has been receiving treatment since June 26 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, where he was flown after experiencing complications from the infection.

"The issue has been resolved," said Deer Valley Marketing Director Coleen Reardon, noting the family is thankful for an outpouring of public support and the quality medical care Eriksen received."Stein has recovered, is in good condition and looking forward to getting home."
