The deadly crash landing of a Boeing 777 at San Francisco International Airport has affected at least seven flights coming out of Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said the crash and resulting closure of the San Francisco hub on Saturday led to outbound flights being diverted to Los Angeles and three more flights being cancelled.
Gann said it was unclear how many inbound flights would be affected, since the entire airport in San Francisco was shut down for much of the day because of the deadly crash. One runway was reopened late Saturday afternoon.
"Additional flights may be impacted until the airport reopens," Gann said.
The National Transportation and Safety Board is heading up the investigation into the crash landing of a Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul, South Korea.
The crash has killed at least two people, and injured dozens more. Other passengers were unaccounted for Saturday evening. The jet is equipped to carry between 246 and 300 passengers, according to media reports.
