Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bluffdale Planning Commission • Will hold a public hearing on a proposed preliminary plat for Palisade Acres, a residential subdivision with 32 lots (minimum 1 acre) at approximately 13800 S. 3600 West; Tuesday, July 9, 7 p.m., Bluffdale Fire Station, 14350 S. 2200 West, Bluffdale. Cottonwood Heights Meet the Candidates • Incumbent Mayor Kelvyn Cullimore is challenged by Peyton Robinson and incumbent Councilman Mike Peterson faces two contenders, Ben Derrick and Nicole Omer. Councilman Tee Tyler is running unopposed in District 4. This Thurday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., the city is hosting a meet the candidates night in the first floor training room of City Offices at 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd., Cottonwood Heights.

Davis County Commission • Will consider amending the bid award for the Legacy Events Center Soccer Complex; Tuesday, July 9, 10 a.m., Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Salt Lake County Council • Will not meet Tuesday, July 9. Next meeting is July 16.
