The ongoing heat wave gripping Utah broke more sections of the state's highways Tuesday morning.

Road damage shut down the left lane of northbound Interstate 15 at mile post 335, in Clearfield. Crews finished repairs there about 5 p.m., said Utah Department of Transportation spokesman Adan Carrillo.

Heat also caused U.S. 40 to buckle at mile post 1, just south of where it branches off of U.S. 189 in Summit County, which reduced traffic to a single lane until about noon, according to UDOT.

On Sunday afternoon, the high temperatures damaged the eastbound left lane of Interstate 215 near 3400 South and the 600 North onramp to southbound Interstate 15.
