Motorcyclist critical in Interstate 15 crash

A motorcyclist is reportedly in critical condition after an accident with a car on Interstate 15.

The vehicles crashed on northbound I-15 in the HOV lane near 4900 South at 4:36 p.m. A man on the motorcycle was on the ground and unconscious, and troopers at the scene reported that he was critical, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

It's unknown if he had been wearing a helmet.

No one in the car reported injuries.

The scene has shut down the HOV lane and the two lanes next to it while troopers investigate the crash.
