A Japanese tourist died Thursday in Moab after sustaining a fall in Arches National Park.

According to the Grand County Sheriff's Office, 78-year-old Tsuneo Ohashi fell hundreds of feet into a bowl area near Delicate Arch. The incident was reported at 7:41 p.m. and Ohashi was flown via helicopter to Moab Regional Hospital, where he died.

Grand County sheriff's deputy Lt. Kim Neal said in a news release that Ohashi had traveled alone to Utah from Saitama, Japan.
