Two small children and their father were critically injured in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 15 near Beaver on Monday afternoon.

A family of five was in the car, which was traveling south about 2:30 p.m. Monday 10 miles south of Beaver when the right front tire blew out, troopers wrote in a news statement. The car rolled in the median, and four people were ejected.

A 4-year-old girl was in critical condition and may have suffered a broken neck. A 5-year-old boy suffered major head trauma, troopers wrote. Both were taken to a Salt Lake City hospital. Their 31-year-old father also suffered critical injuries and was flown to a Murray hospital.

The mother and a 9-year-old boy were taken to a local hospital and were expected to survive.

Investigators are looking into whether excessive speed contributed to the rollover.
