A two-alarm fire heavily damaged a Cottonwood Heights home Sunday night, but no injuries were reported.

Unified Fire Capt. Clint Mecham said Monday that the overnight blaze near 2100 E. Country View Lane (7530 South) spread throughout the entire house before crews doused the flames.

The fire was reported at 10:22 p.m. Sunday and the residence was fully involved when crews arrived, less than four minutes after the initial 911 call.

A family of eight lives in the home, but was out of town at the time of the fire.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.

A dollar estimate was not immediately available, but damages were extensive.
