On Thursday, Salt Lake City police were asking for the public's help in finding that knife-wielding robber of the Maggie Moo's Ice Cream shop at 1135 E. Wilmington (2220 South).

Salt Lake City police Detective Veronica Montoya said the suspect — described as a white male in his 20s, about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, of medium build and wearing a maroon hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and a red baseball cap with a black-and-white bill — walked into the shop 2:45 p.m. Sunday.

The suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money from the cash register, got it and then fled the shop on foot.

Anyone with information on this suspect or crime is asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000, or text TIPSLCPD plus information to CRIMES 274637, referencing case No. 13-80268.
