Utah’s Memorial Day weekend forecast calls for mostly clear skies, warm temperatures and cooling breezes out of the south.

Northern Utah looks for high temperatures in the low-80s Saturday, mid-80s on Sunday and upper-70s on Monday with winds of 10-25 mph throughout the weekend. Monday also could produce some high-elevation thunderstorms, forecasters warned.

Southern Utahns expect to bask in the upper-80s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Winds in Utah’s Dixie will range from 10 to 20 mph.

The Utah Division of Air Quality, however, said breathability on Saturday will be diminished in some regions on Saturday, with Salt Lake, Davis, Box Elder, Washington and Weber counties earning "Yellow," or compromised air quality ratings. The rest of the state’s monitoring stations were graded at "Green," or healthy.

At least allergy suffers were getting a bit of a break: the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma web site reported that only pollen levels for mold ("very high") and grass ("high") were elevated.

Salt Lake City’s high on Saturday was pegged at 83 degrees, up from Friday’s forecast of 75; Ogden looked for 80 and 71 degrees, respectively; Provo 82 and 76; Logan 78 and 69; Wendover 80 and 71; Duchesne 79 and 75; Cedar City 78 and 77; St. George 90 and 88; and Moab 89 and 88 degrees.
