The winner will be decided via Facebook voting daily for the favorite town through June 10.

According to a statement from Park City, it was named a top 10 finalist by the magazine "based on its amazing access to world-class recreation."

Park City originated as a silver mining boomtown, officially founded in 1884. Today, according to city officials, the greater Park City area contains 7,000 acres of open space, about 7,500 acres of ski terrain and 400 miles of trails.

The top 10 finalists are featured on Outside Magazine’s Facebook page where participants can vote for their favorite town.

The winning town will be featured in the September issue of Outside Magazine.
