Civics Central: Taylorsville to hold open house on budget, South Weber to discuss vote-by-mail option

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bountiful Power Commission • Will hear a financial report and a power plant update; Tuesday, May 28, 8 a.m., 198 S. 200 West, Bountiful. View the Power Commission agenda.

Clearfield City Council » Will hold a public hearing on a request for a rezone of approximately 72 acres at about 1250 S. State St. to facilitate the Clearfield Station development; Tuesday, May 28, 7 p.m., 55 S. State St., Clearfield. View the Clearfield agenda.

Cottonwood Heights City Council • Will hold a public hearing on the tentative 2014 general fund budget, will also consider resolution for sharing street center-line data with Valley Emergency Communications Center; in work session, will hear report on Salt Lake City water rate increase; work session starts at 6 p.m. in suite 250 and continues after the 7 p.m. council meeting in suite 300, Tuesday, May 28, City Offices, 1265 E. Davis County Commission • Will review and pay bills; Tuesday, May 28, 10 a.m., Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.
