Utah forecast: Warm and windy as weekend approaches

First Published May 22 2013 07:37 am • Last Updated May 22 2013 07:37 am

Utah’s late-week forecast could be summed up like this: Break out the shorts, T-shirts and sandals, apply sun block lotion liberally, don a sun hat — and hold on to it.

The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies, warm temperatures and gusty winds for the state Thursday, an encore for its Wednesday forecast. In northern Utah, highs in the mid- to upper-70s and winds of 10-25 mph were expected, while southern Utahns looked for the mercury to climb into the mid- to upper-80s with winds of 15-30 mph.
