Crunching numbers • Elected officials and staff members will be available to talk about the tentative fiscal 2014 budget at an open house from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd. (5325 South).

Learning about the past • The Taylorsville Historic Preservation Committee has been awarded a 2013 Heritage Award from the Utah Heritage Foundation. The nine-member committee was honored for getting the community involved in heritage education.
