Did Reid get Romney's taxes from the IRS? Hatch calls for new probe. Enviro group sues EPA over Utah pollution.

Happy Friday. Now that it's clear the IRS gave extra, super scrutiny to tea party-related groups during the 2012 cycle, Republicans are wondering if there was some rogue government tax collector who handed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid copies of Mitt Romney's taxes. If you recall, Reid took to the Senate floor last year to claim that Romney hadn't paid a dime of income taxes in a decade — a point strenuously denied by Romney's folks. Now, an RNC spokeswoman wonders if the IRS was leaking. [DailyCaller]

Topping the news: Sen. Orrin Hatch is calling for a new investigation into the IRS scandal and what groups it targeted — including one that backed Hatch in his re-election. [Trib]

-> The environmental group WildEarth Guardians filed a federal lawsuit agains the EPA this week, accusing the agency of failing to uphold the Clean Air Act to protect Utahns from fine-particle pollution. [Trib]
