Companies have until July 8 to register for the Salt Lake County Corporate Games, which run July 27 through Aug. 4.

Competitions will take place in more than 40 events, ranging from three-on-three basketball and softball to Texas Hold 'em poker and fishing. There are "bonus" events as well, from a scavenger hunt to a blood drive.

"Our goal is to provide a program where everyone in your company who is interested in participating has that opportunity," said Lyndsey Henderson, the county's Corporate Games program manager. "By involving everyone in your company, you get a better value for your dollar."

The Corporate Games are divided into three divisions, based on a company's size. Teams with 15-150 employees sign up to compete in 10 events for a $675 fee. Companies with 151-450 employees compete in 14 events for $875. The fee goes up to $1,075 for companies with more than 451 employees, who will compete in 18 events.

Cups are presented to the top three teams in each division, while the top three individuals in each event get medals, Henderson said.

Past Corporate Games have involved more than 50 companies and 4,500 participants, she added.
