Rain and thunderstorms may be on the way
If may have felt like intermittent cold spells delayed spring, but the warmth is back although celebrations may have to be set to the applause of rain and drumming of thunderstorms.
The warm weather continues through Sunday and Monday, with Northern Utah highs remaining in the mid- to lower-70s and Southern Utah basking in 70s and 80s. But by Sunday afternoon, there's a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms developing across the state, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
A light wind is forecast to help keep the air breathable. The Utah Division of Air Quality rates the next two days as "green," or healthy, statewide.
Meteorologists expect Salt Lake City's high on Sunday to reach 75, and 71 on Monday; Ogden's to hit 73 and 71, respectively; Provo 76 and 72; Logan 73 and 72; Wendover 73 and 72; Duchesne 70 and 67; Cedar City 72 and 63; St. George 84 and 76; and Moab 81 and 73.
