Rain and thunderstorms may be on the way
First Published May 04 2013 09:38 am • Last Updated May 04 2013 04:42 pm

If may have felt like intermittent cold spells delayed spring, but the warmth is back — although celebrations may have to be set to the applause of rain and drumming of thunderstorms.

The warm weather continues through Sunday and Monday, with Northern Utah highs remaining in the mid- to lower-70s and Southern Utah basking in 70s and 80s. But by Sunday afternoon, there’s a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms developing across the state, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
