Search and rescue workers have recovered the body of a Wyoming boater deep in the waters of Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

Daggett County sheriff's spokeswoman Susie Potter said Friday that the body of 46-year-old Danny Angelo Durante, of Jackson, Wyo., was spotted at 10:05 p.m. Thursday by sonar equipment. Just before 11 p.m., a robotic submersible device recovered the remains at a spot just south of where Durante's submerged boat had been found on Tuesday, in the Jug Hollow area.

The spots where the boat and body were finally located are about 100 feet deep, Potter said.

Durante had been reported missing last Sunday.

The weather was windy that day and the reservoir's waters choppy, leading authorities to believe Durante's boat may have capsized, throwing him into the water where he drowned.
