City Hall is coming to a park near you this spring and summer.

West Valley City Neighborhood Services has organized four Meetup gatherings throughout the community where residents can ask questions of staffers and council members, get information on municipal events and enjoy some refreshments.

Staffers will bring chairs, tables, canopies and information on services to the parks in West Valley's Meet Up trailer.

"Rather than hoping everyone comes to city hall, we thought we'd hit the road and come to them," said Aaron Crim, West Valley's director of public relations and neighborhood services.

The city is trying to do outreach in each council district, he said, and residents are more likely to go to a place close to their home.

The events, which are free, will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on a Saturday. The dates and locations are:

May 11 • Hillsdale Park, 3275 S. 3200 West.

June 8 • Fairbourne Station Promenade, 3600 S. Market St.

July 13 • Centennial Park, 5405 W. 3100 South.

Aug. 10 • West View Park, 4100 S. 6000 West.
